This course seeks to address the question of how the Bible should be read and understood in contemporary contexts. In order to approach this question, the course will first explore the question "what is scripture?" historically theologically, ontologically and missiologically, and survey past approaches to interpretation.
Second, contemporary theories of understanding (i.e. hermeneutics) will be considered, as well as their influences and effects in contemporary thought, including the interpretation of scripture.
Finally, these areas of inquiry will be synthesized and applied to concrete contemporary issues and the interpretation of biblical texts relevant to those questions. In addition, students will integrate this subject of study with their chosen area of theological emphasis.
Ovaj kolegij nastoji se pozabaviti pitanjem kako Bibliju treba čitati i razumjeti u suvremenom kontekstu. Kako bismo pristupili ovom pitanju, prvo ćemo istražiti pitanje "što je Sveto pismo?" povijesno teološki i ontološki i pregledati prošle pristupe interpretaciji.
